Split Up Announcement !

Dear All ! As my almost annual “throw everything upside down ” anniversary day gets closer (for more information follow this link : Out of Office Announcement ) I thought I might not only abandon my flat but also do the same with this messy blog where a does not fit b and so on… so I finally decided to split up. Now there is one blog for images taken on the road to elsewhere // Getting there & Away and another one for concept stuff // Independent Singles.

Either way I hope you enjoy them as much as I do and if you dont know which one to follow – follow both !

One thing is for sure : … is male but he does not have a name yet ,so his father hopes there´s going to be a tag with his name when he´s born.

Irma

This is a project where i will take portraits of witnesses of concentration camps – Irma is the first one to take part and I´m quite happy although the background may be sad , that i could start with such a bright minded and happy spirit.Irma is 93 and survived 3 years as a political prisoner in Ravensbrück.The project will continue as long as there are time wittnesses left. All the portraits done should reflect the strong and positive people who they are despite their history and should end up in an exhibition and maybe also as well in book to remember them.

There is also a book she wrote about her life which can be purchased through Österreichische Lagergemeinschaft Ravensbrück
